An artist of commendable taste and natural instinct, he followed it up by going the only route possible--straight-ahead singer/songwriter pop/rock. That's not to say this genre-hopper doesn't take a few interesting left turns, as on the Brazilian-flavored "Tropicalia," but gone are the hip-hop beats, sampled backdrops and semi-raps of the past. In their place are solid, inventive, pop/rock arrangements played by Beck's regular touring band.
And the irrepressible Mr. Hansen inserts more melody into the songs here than anyone would have thought likely; he's just plain singing more. Given Seger's decade-plus in relative obscurity before this commercial breakthrough, though, it may be surprising to some that Seger's career began far earlier than that of Springsteen.
Although NIGHT MOVES is not often thought of as a concept album, there are definite thematic links throughout this well-constructed and thoughtful record, all of them rooted in the double-punch, call-to-arms opening of "Rock and Roll Never Forgets," which is followed by the rueful, low-key title track. The first baby-boomers were turning 30 around '76, and NIGHT MOVES is filled with ruminations on lost youth, from the heartfelt "Mainstreet" to the rockabilly rave-up cover of Ronnie Hawkins's "Mary Lou," which closes the album. That Seger approaches the aforementioned subject with more subtlety than he showed on later successes ("Against the Wind" and "Like a Rock") makes NIGHT MOVES the Bob Seger record that casual fans tend to like the best.

RSD Date: n/a

Genre: Rock

Released: 6/16/2015

Format: Vinyl

RSD Release Date: n/a

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0518/8439/2621/files/Monostereo-Bob-Seger-Night-Moves-LP-Vinyl_CTsYv.jpg?v=1742067528
beck-odelay-vinyl
Beck ODELAY Vinyl
Personnel: Beck Hansen (vocals, acoustic, slide & electric guitars, harmonica, electric piano, celeste, Clavinet, organ, keyboards, bass, drums, percussion); Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar); David Brown (saxophone); Mike Boito (trumpet, organ); Charlie Haden (acoustic bass); Joey Waronker (drums, percussion); Ross Harris.
Producers: Beck Hansen, The Dust Brothers, Mario Caldato Jr., Brian Paulson, Tom Rothrock.
Like its creator's freewheeling songwriting process, ODELAY is a monument to wondrously precise pastiche. It's a glowing junkyard of musical styles, absurdist images, distorted samples, postmodern anti-emotions, you name it. Over the course of his three previous albums, Beck tinkered with more traditions and aesthetic approaches than an average cultural-studies professor sees in a career: hip-hop beats, acoustic folk-blues, indie-punk guitar squalls, DIY production, commercial smash! ODELAY accounts for all those things, too, but it also furthers the seamless, rump-shaking sheen of its collage nature, turning process into possible meaning.
On one hand, the thematic darkness that hangs over most of these songs exposes Beck for the creative doomsayer he is--just another sullen young man with a gift of the native tongues. On the other, the life-affirming irreverence with which he drops harebrained couplets, monologues and call-and-response chants based on designer-jeans brands betrays the glowing confidence of someone in love with all the places the creative process can take you. Listeners will find both that March of 1958 confab as well as another four Tommy Flanagan originals from an April of 1957 meeting between Burrell (guitar), Coltrane (tenor sax), Idrees Sulieman (trumpet), Tommy Flanagan (piano), Doug Watkins (bass), and Louis Hayes (drums). Taking the contents in a chronological fashion, the April 18, 1957 session presents Coltrane as the primary player. The brisk Caribbean feel of "Eclypso"offers an excellent launch pad for the dual leads of Coltrane and the honey-toned Sulieman. While Burrell's contributions to "Solacium" are more prominent and refined, the stylish arrangement sparkles, particularly during the bookended solos of Flanagan at the top and Burrell right before the full ensemble joins up for a final chorus. Sulieman is behind the wheel of the assembled sextet through the straight-ahead bop masterpiece "Minor Mishap." Coltrane is frisky as he all but challenges the equally eager guitarist, who responds with his own fretwork fluidity. The final entry of the outing, "Tommy's Tune," is perhaps Flanagan's finest included composition and the midtempo bluesy backdrop is sublime for all the respective parties to have their sonic say. The proceedings then turn to the following March of 1958 when Burrell is leader of a quintet boasting Coltrane, Paul Chambers (bass), Jimmy Cobb (drums) and once again Tommy Flanagan (piano). Rather than supplying all the songs, the set is split between a pair from Flanagan, two tunes out of the Great American Songbook of popular music, and a Kenny Burrell original. Flanagan's spirited "Freight Trane" lifts off as Coltrane's less than inspired blows are bolstered by Burrell's confident and precise picking. Likewise, Chambers' bowed bass is worthy of special mention as it gives the piece an almost indescribably organic quality. Gus Kahn and Ted Fio Rito's "I Never Knew" is a delight as Burrell demonstrates his unmarred dexterity. The guitarist's own "Lyresto" should not be missed as Coltrane's aching lyricism nuzzles up against the sweetness in Burrell's string work. Unquestionably, the intimate fragility that imbues "Why Was I Born" stands as a singular event with Burrell and Coltrane finding themselves musically entwined with only each other as support. On the whole, John Coltrane with Kenny Burrell (1974) offers four LP sides of truly exceptional stuff for all manner of jazz enthusiast. ~ Lindsay Planer

Genre: Jazz

RSD Date: n/a

Released: 06/25/2013

Format: Vinyl

RSD Release Date: n/a

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0518/8439/2621/files/Monostereo-John-Coltrane-John-Coltrane-Kenny-Burrell-1-Bonus-Track-_vbtMs.jpg?v=1741376126
dashboard-confessional-the-swiss-army-romance-black-vinyl
Dashboard Confessional The Swiss Army Romance (Black Vinyl) Vinyl
DESCRIPTION
Vinyl LP pressing. Taking a turn away from Floyd's complex layered psychedelia, Barrett's solo debut, MADCAP LAUGHS, revealed the singer/songwriter to be a somewhat gentle, reflective poet. Although MADCAP is not as lyrically obscure as most of Barrett's work with Floyd, the album nonetheless proves that Barrett could mutate a simple love song ("Love You," "She Took a Long Cold Look") past the realm of the expected into something chilling.
The plaintive voice-cracking wail of "Won't you miss me / won't you miss me at all?" in "Dark Globe" could just as easily have been directed at a departing lover or the fanbase that Syd was separating himself from at the time through chemical abuse and reclusive behavior. The most compelling song lyrics on MADCAP, however, were not even written by Barrett, but by fellow spiritual expatriate James Joyce. He has changed even less than Van Sant did (in a way, he had less room to maneuver, since Van Sant could throw in the occasional weird subliminal frame, but Elfman's score had to keep going), but hearing the new recording is still exciting, thanks to Herrmann's chilling, unique score. Hearing this new stereo recording is quite thrilling, actually, since it is robust and surges with energy. It pales slightly in comparison to the original score, which has imbedded itself into popular consciousness, but this is entertaining all the same -- and for Elfman and Herrmann fanatics, it's quite fascinating as well, since it does reveal slight differences between the two renowned composers. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Released: 1/15/2016

RSD Release Date: DDD

Format: Vinyl

Genre: Classical

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0518/8439/2621/files/Monostereo-Bernard-Herrmann-Psycho-Red-Vinyl-Original-Score-Vinyl_D5yZw.jpg?v=1742128385
mac-demarco-another-one-vinyl
Mac Demarco ANOTHER ONE Vinyl
In a not-so-secret message at the end of his 2015 mini-album Another One, Mac DeMarco offers up his home address in Far Rockaway, New York, inviting listeners to "Stop on by, I'll make you a cup of coffee." Four albums into his relatively young career, the transplanted Canadian has already earned a playfully eccentric reputation that mirrors his unconventional musical style. As admired for his oddball antics (homemade videos wearing Michael Jackson and Homer Simpson masks, holding a contest for fans whose prize is $0.69 from his bank account, that invitation for coffee) as for his laid-back songcraft, DeMarco has become an unexpected indie hero with his own highly recognizable sound. Beginning with 2012's Rock & Roll Nightclub, each release has been an improvement on its predecessor, with 2014's Salad Days landing atop many critic's year-end lists. Wasting little time on his follow-up, DeMarco quickly wrote and assembled this eight-song effort at his home on the southern shores of New York's Jamaica Bay in Queens. A loosely themed concept album about love, with each song exploring a different emotion (longing, jealousy, frustration, joy), Another One bears the distinctive hallmarks that have, so far, come to signify a DeMarco release. The unique, heavily-chorused guitar tone and the laid-back grooves rooted in '70s soft rock support gently catchy melodies with intelligent lyrics that nimbly tread the line between heartfelt and wry. Musically, it's no great departure from the world he created on Salad Days, but there's a feeling of listening in on an artist who is just coming into the peak of his powers, and the creative spirit behind these subtly charming songs is immediately apparent. As a collection Another One hangs together quite well with the wobbly, synth-led title cut and the warm pop groove of the marvelous "No Other Heart" making for two of the album's biggest standouts. Befitting the record's amorous themes, DeMarco's overall tone here is sweeter and more tender than before, even on more lighthearted fare like the frisky faux yacht rocker "Just to Put Me Down," where he flexes a bit of Jerry Garcia-inspired guitar muscle. The half-smirking irony that many critics have accused him of feels further distanced here as he continues to explore his capabilities as a songwriter and player. On the final track, he pairs a lonesome, dark-toned synth against a backdrop of waves lapping at his rocky shoreline in what feels a bit like an instrumental love song to a place and time. It feels ephemeral and so, perhaps, is DeMarco's tenure in the watery little house where this music was made. This beguiling little album is another feather in DeMarco's baseball cap, and will live on in his growing catalog, but you might want to head over to Queens for that cup of coffee before it's too late. ~ Timothy Monger

RSD Date: n/a

Genre: Rock

Best Sellers: Top Seller

Format: Vinyl

Released: 08/07/2015

RSD Release Date: n/a

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0518/8439/2621/files/Monostereo-Mac-Demarco-Another-One-Vinyl_w4h0b.jpg?v=1742098097
bruce-dickinson-scream-for-me-sarajevo-vinyl
Bruce Dickinson Scream For Me Sarajevo Vinyl

Brand New Sealed | Bruce Dickinson | Scream For Me Sarajevo | Vinyl | Release Date: 06/29/2018

Genre: Rock

RSD Release Date: DDD

Format: Vinyl

Released: 6/29/2018

RSD Date: DDD

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0518/8439/2621/files/Monostereo-Bruce-Dickinson-Scream-For-Me-Sarajevo-Vinyl_NFOT1.jpg?v=1742136991
james-bay-chaos-and-the-calm-vinyl
James Bay CHAOS AND THE CALM Vinyl
James Bay is a young British singer and songwriter whose heartfelt songs and passionate vocal style suggest a greater maturity and experience than one would expect from an artist whose debut album was released when he was 24 years old. Originally released on Prestige (7079). Includes liner notes by Ira Gitler.
The year 1956 marked a turning point for Sonny Rollins. Out of the ashes of what had been a talented but troubled young tenor saxophonist, came a new Sonny Rollins, his purpose clarified and strengthened, his muse razor sharp and brimming with new visions. As a new member of the Clifford Brown/Max Roach Organization, he was inspired as much by their spiritual consistency as their artistic integrity. By his own admission, even as a jazz tadpole, Sonny Rollins possessed a brawny sound and a powerful rhythmic drive...but other elements were missing.
With SAXOPHONE COLOSSUS, Sonny Rollins created a personal vision of the tenor saxophone and modern jazz brimming over with joy and conviction. SAXOPHONE COLOSSUS was a breakthrough recording, praised for its lyrical power, thematic logic, relentless swing and spontaneous invention. Borrowing a page from his West Indian roots, Rollins' "St. Thomas" employed elements of Caribbean folk melodies and calypso rhythms to create an exotic, dancing tenor anthem--one of the most identifiable, beloved themes in all of jazz--driven along by Max Roach's melodic drumming, Tommy Flannagan's shimmering accompaniment, and the saxophonist's swaggering melodic invention.
Rollins displayed fresh harmonic power and innovative methods of thematic develpment throughout SAXOPHONE COLOSSUS. On the swinging starts and stops of "Strode Rode" and the dreamy blues cycles of "Blue 7," Rollins began his solos with simple melodic motifs, and orchestrated them into grand, elongated thematic statements--every note made meaningful by Rollins' extraordinary sense of development and intuitive musical architecture. In addition, his tenor timbre took on renewed vigor and complexity on two ballads: "Moritat" (our old friend "Mack The Knife") and his epic reading of "You Don't Know What Love Is."

Genre: Jazz

RSD Date: n/a

Released: 7/28/2017

Format: Vinyl

RSD Release Date: n/a

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0518/8439/2621/files/Monostereo-Various-Artists-Saxophone-ColossuLP-Vinyl_Ii3iY.jpg?v=1742123000
blink-182-cheshire-cat-vinyl
Blink 182 Cheshire Cat Vinyl
Blink 182: Tom Delonge (vocals, guitar); Mark Hoppus (vocals, bass); Scott Raynor (drums).
Additional personnel: Matt Houts.
Recorded at Westbeach Recorders, Hollywood, California.
After releasing a number of 7" singles over the years, Blink 182 offers CHESHIRE CAT, its full-length album. Admittedly, the repackaging itself is less than revelatory, with final track "B-Boy Bouillabaisse" split up from its original medley (although "A Year And A Day" and "Dropping Names" finally receive their due as breakout singles) (A digi-download card with audio commentary is also included.) But for a generation of younger hip-hop fans casually accustomed to kneejerk sampling and familiar with the Beasties only from "Fight For Your Right" and freeing Tibet, PAUL's giddy psychedelic crate-digging (along with production team the Dust Brothers) will properly blow their minds.
When The Beastie Boys hit platinum with their debut album, they were instantly labeled the Elvises of rap, accused of being just another bunch of white musicians stealing from black music. But what was overlooked was that the Beasties actually had some interesting ideas to take hip hop to new levels. While in the years to come other white rappers like Vanilla Ice and Jesse Jaymes would prove they were the true cultural thieves, the Beasties defended themselves by recording a seminal rap album, PAUL'S BOUTIQUE. The record was, in fact, so legit that it eroded their commercial appeal in middle America.
PAUL'S BOUTIQUE is a sample-fest--a post-modern epic of cut and splice studio wizardry. Taking snippets of music from sources as disparate as Curtis Mayfield, The Beatles, B.D.P., The Ramones and The Jaws soundtrack (as well as countless others), they built songs out of the debris of modern culture. Over these mind-blowing tracks, they weaved tall tales, self-promotional proclamations and sheer non-sense into a singular vision of inspired lunacy. Besides Public Enemy, no one else was producing albums as complex as this. PAUL'S BOUTIQUE sounds two or three years ahead of its time, perhaps this is why the album was considered such a failure upon its release.
Whatever the case, there really is no album that sounds quite like this one does; the Beasties returned to the top of the charts a few years later with CHECK YOUR HEAD, but they may never be able to top the originality and depth of their stunning sophomore effort.

RSD Date: n/a

Genre: Hip Hop

Best Sellers: Top Seller

Format: Vinyl

Released: 02/10/2009

RSD Release Date: n/a

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0518/8439/2621/files/Monostereo-Beastie-Boys-Pauls-Boutique-20Th-Anniversary-Edition-Vinyl_68I3L.jpg?v=1741796268
of-monsters-and-men-my-head-is-an-animal-vinyl
Of Monsters And Men MY HEAD IS AN ANIMAL Vinyl
In 2012, Of Monsters and Men reissued their first Icelandic album, first published in 2011, for stateside release with new artwork and an alternate track list. Whittling down the group's hefty discography to 18 tracks seems impossible, but U218 SINGLES solves the problem by focusing, as the title suggests, on singles. Consequently, some crucial tunes, namely early ones like "I Will Follow," "Gloria," and "Two Hearts Beat As One," are missing.
But since one of U2's greatest strengths is their ability to create imaginative and engaging music that can also cross over into the mainstream, the collection brims with great material. Some of the band's best recorded moments--"Pride (In the Name of Love)," "New Year's Day," and "One," for example--are showcased, along with immediately familiar anthems like "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "Mysterious Ways," and "Sweetest Thing." A handful of tunes from the 2000s--like "The Saints Are Coming," the band's famed collaboration with Green Day--round out the set. Like her debut, it found Chess presenting her as more or less a pop singer, using orchestration arranged and conducted by Riley Hampton, and mostly tackling popular standards of the '40s. If you're not a purist, this approach won't bother you in the least; James sings with gusto, proving that she could more than hold her own in this idiom as well. Includes liner notes by James Isaacs.
Digitally remastered by Dennis Drake (Polygram Studios).
The only studio meeting between Stan Getz and Bill Evans took place over two days in 1964, with the aggressive drummer Elvin Jones and either Richard Davis or Ron Carter on bass. It is peculiar that Verve shelved the results for over a decade before issuing any of the music, though it may have been felt that Getz and Evans hadn't had enough time to achieve the desired chemistry, though there are memorable moments. The punchy take of "My Heart Stood Still," the elegant interpretation of "Grandfather's Waltz," and the lush setting of the show tune "Melinda" all came from the first day's session, with Davis on bass. (Evidently he was unavailable the following day, so Carter replaced him.) Evans' driving, challenging "Funkallero" is the obvious highlight from day two, though the gorgeous "But Beautiful" and the breezy setting of "Night and Day" are also enjoyable. Only the brief version of "Carpetbagger's Theme," which seems badly out of place and suggestive of the label's interference with the session, is a bit of a disappointment. Obviously neither Getz nor Evans liked the tune, as they go through the motions in a very brief performance. Of course, Michael Jackson's tragic passing created considerable demand for those final rehearsals, so they were packaged as the This is It film, released almost five months after his death, with a soundtrack as an accompaniment. Since there were no real live recordings made, at least not any to fill a big-budget blockbuster like this, the soundtrack consists of almost nothing but the hits repackaged one more time, with the title track -- an '80s leftover, co-written by Paul Anka and released under the name "I Never Heard" by Safire -- added as an enticement in two separate versions, the second being orchestral with an opening straight out of Sgt. Pepper's. The song does feel like a demo, right down to how it fades out mid-chorus, but there's no denying the thrill of hearing an unheard vocal track of Michael at his prime. There's a second disc containing demos of "She's Out of My Life" (just Michael and an acoustic, quite nice) "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'"(full demo, with identical rhythm and guitar lines, close to the final but lacking its horns), and "Beat It" (a true writers sketch, all vocals and harmonies, no lyrics or instruments, kind of awesome), plus a "poem" of "Planet Earth." All these bonus tracks are a greater enticement to purchase than anything on the album proper. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

RSD Date: n/a

Format: Vinyl

RSD Release Date: n/a

Genre: Pop

Released: 02/09/2010

AFI have definitely matured over the years. Their first jump was from a snotty, upstart California hardcore band with a heavy Misfits obsession to emo-goth superstars with their breakthrough 2003 epic Sing the Sorrow. That album and its 2006 follow-up, Decemberunderground, found lead singer Davey Havok and the rest of AFI fully embracing their dark, if still glitter-laden take on grandly produced and anthemic rock that somehow bridged the wide gap between the panicked, emo-soul of Fall Out Boy and the macabre, electronic-tinged sound of Marilyn Manson. 2009's Crash Love, with its neon-colored nods to '80s Burundi beat pop and post-Smiths Morrissey, brought their sound full-circle, with songs that were the some of the most pop-oriented of the band's career. 2013's Burials finds AFI returning to a darker sound both lyrically and musically, without compromising on their trademark infectious hooks. As showcased on the malevolent, cinematic opening track, "The Sinking Night," Burials is certainly an album of epic gloom and angsty menace which often plays as if it was written as a soundtrack to a stylized thriller or a slick anime film about lost love and tortured obsession. On "The Sinking Night," Havok croons, "The blackness drips down from both my hands/ The gold in my palm was mistaken for sand/ Can you feel it?" We definitely can, and the rest of Burials only deepens the feeling. Of course, even though Havok never loosens his death grip here in terms of overall intensity, there are still moments of pop euphoria. To these ends, "17 Crimes" is a driving ode to teenage freedom, and "Greater Than 84," with its allusions to George Orwell's literary classic 1984, turns living in a dystopian city into a metaphor for a failed relationship. With his Bowie-esque knack for theatrically morphing his visage to fit each album, Havok (a career-long straight-edge vegan) is an often misunderstood, and underappreciated pop maverick. It's often too easy to focus on the eyeshadow or slant of his quaff, and miss the underlying intelligence and melodramatic wit that informs much of AFI's work. Similarly, guitarist Jade Puget, AFI's resident Mark Ronson and musical director, defies quick categorization with arrangements that draw upon the symphonic grandeur of Tony Visconti, as much as the titanic industrial wallop of Nine Inch Nails. With Burials, Havok and AFI don't just bury the castle of wrecked relationships, they put to rest any notions that they aren't kings of their dystopian rock kingdom. ~ Matt Collar

Released: 10/22/2013

Format: Vinyl

RSD Release Date: n/a

Genre: Pop

The first-ever official anthology of recordings from the iconic rock duo, Jack and Meg White, is an essential career-spanning collection highlighting 26 previously released songs. In a press announcement, vocalist M. Shadows announced they would be attempting to go back to their Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin roots, and at the surface, the idea of dumbing down their music to sturdy classic rock grooves made a lot of sense, since many of the compositions on their last two albums had become overwrought with studio overdubbing. Unfortunately, once they tried to take inspiration from other bands, they mimicked them so well that they lost their sense of identity in the process. "Doing Time" came straight out of the Guns N' Roses songbook, "This Means War" is a direct rip of Metallica's "Sad But True," and "Crimson Day" could be any number of '80s hair metal power ballads. By the album's second half, Avenged Sevenfold can't help but let loose their guitar shredding theatrics a bit, and their personality starts to shine through as the tempo quickens and tracks take flight to unabashed heights. "Heretic" and "Coming Home" are still firmly indebted to their roots (specifically, Megadeth and Iron Maiden) but they are exciting metal numbers, and they set the stage for the colossal "Planets,", which incorporates motifs from "The Planets" suite by 20th century composer Gustav Holst and includes all the arpeggiated soloing and operatic yowling you could ever want. If this sounds ridiculous, that's because it is, but it's undeniably more fun to hear the members pushing themselves and showboating than doing mock covers. ~ Jason Lymangrover

Released: 08/27/2013

RSD Release Date: DDD

Format: Vinyl

RSD Date: DDD

Genre: Pop

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0518/8439/2621/files/Avenged-Sevenfold-HAIL-TO-THE-KING_1CGnF.jpg?v=1741191286
ghost-popestar-lp-vinyl
Ghost POPESTAR (LP) Vinyl
The second EP from the macabrely debonair Swedes, Popestar finds Ghost parsing through their vestment-black Rolodex and pulling out a compelling five-track set that pairs their most commercial-sounding original offering to date with a quartet of equally earworm-heavy covers. If "Square Hammer" is indicative of what's to come after 2015's Grammy Award-winning Meliora, then fans are likely to find themselves continuing to wrestle with whether or not Ghost is a pop band disguised as Satan's little helpers or the sonic incarnation of the great trickster itself. Flush with hooks and sounding for all the world like a mashup of Savage Amusement-era Scorpions and peak Blue ?yster Cult, it's a bold blast of rock radio might, and it acts as the perfect setup for the sugary, witches cauldron-brewed stew that follows. A faithful albeit hammer of the gods-heavy rendering of Echo & the Bunnymen's "Nocturnal Me" kicks things off, followed by a deconstructed, goth-tastic take on Simian Mobile Disco's "I Believe" and a winking, UFC montage-disposed reading of Eurythmics' "Missionary Man," but Ghost save the best for last. "Bible," an ecclesiastical late-'80s power ballad from Stockholm alt-rock giants Imperiet, is shown great respect, and suggests that Papa Emeritus and his nameless ghouls may have honed their dark arts via air guitars and toothbrush microphones in front of their bedroom mirrors, emulating its muscular stadium pageantry. That is, until a sinister voice-over, which does not appear in the original version, chimes in at the end with "I will wipe from the face of the earth this human race I have created," effectively tamping down the coffin lid on whatever sorry bit of salvation the track's previous owners had managed to conjure. ~ James Christopher Monger

Released: 9/16/2016

RSD Release Date: DDD

Format: Vinyl

Genre: Pop

Def Leppard: Joe Elliott (vocals); Steve Clark, Phil Collen (guitar); Rick Savage (bass); Rick Allen (drums).
Additional personnel: The Bankrupt Brothers (background vocals).
Recorded at Wisseloord Studios, Hilversum, Holland; Windmill Lane Studio 2, Dublin, Ireland; Studio Des Dames, Paris, France.
Four years after PYROMANIA, Def Leppard were a comparative write-off.
